Choice Hotels Canada is growing its Ascend Hotel Collection with the addition of Waterfront Inn, located in downtown New Liskeard. This is the fourth Ascend Hotel Collection property to open in Canada this year, growing the brand count to 29 properties in the country. The Ascend Hotel Collection is part of a network of upscale resorts, historic properties and boutique hotels that offer guests a uniquely local experience.
Waterfront Inn, as its name suggests, is located just steps from Lake Temiskaming. Second-floor guest rooms have lakefront balconies to take in the scenic beauty of the lake, while main-floor accommodations offer access to the waterfront and boardwalk trail.
“We are pleased to add Waterfront Inn to our Ascend Hotel Collection portfolio, which now includes four hotels in Ontario,” says Kenny Gibson, president, Sunray Group. “This property highlights some of the best features of the region, with its sweeping lake views and excellent central location.”
The 41-room hotel offers useful in-room amenities like Keurig coffee machines, microwaves, and mini fridges. Guests at the pet-friendly property can also start their day with a complimentary hot breakfast. Hotel amenities include a meeting room and onsite restaurant, 28 On The Lake, that serves pizza, pasta, salad and sandwiches, and offers indoor and outdoor seating. The hotel is also conveniently attached to a community centre, offering guests access to a pool and fitness centre for an additional fee.
“We always look forward to collaborating with the Sunray Group and this latest property is no exception,” said Brian Leon, CEO, Choice Hotels Canada. “We are delighted to add yet another Ontario waterfront hotel to our network of hotels.”
Waterfront Inn is located at 2 Cedar Avenue, Temiskaming, Ontario.
