Coast Bastion Hotel, located in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, has been a longstanding part of the community that locals and travellers have come to love. Recently, the pet-friendly Nanaimo hotel has undergone an extensive renovation.
The goal of the renovation was to create a modern, innovative and local experience. By incorporating locally sourced materials and embracing the unique culture of Nanaimo, the hotel has been transformed into a destination that reflects the spirit of the community. When guests walk into the lobby, they're met with a modern sophisticated design, ocean-inspired lighting fixtures, beautiful new carpets, and modern furniture. This renovation also includes fully renovated rooms to ensure each unique traveller has a space that meets their unique needs. Every room comes with air conditioning and opening windows. Inside each space is locally inspired decor, tile floors, triple-sheeted beds, and a Juliet balcony with either a partial or full ocean view of Nanaimo Harbour.
Rooms feature neutral colour palettes with pops of rich blue, paying homage to the property’s scenic oceanfront location. At Coast Bastion Hotel, the "Refreshingly Green" promise is as important as ever and that’s why all the furniture, desks, amenity shelves, and headboards seen in this renovation were sourced and manufactured in Richmond, British Columbia.
