Destination Canada has released its annual ranking of best countries in the world, with Canada placed in second—published by U.S. News & World Report.
The overall ranking of Best Countries measures global performance on a variety of metrics. Switzerland is the best country in the world for 2023. The rankings, developed by global marketing and communications services company WPP and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, were informed by a global survey of more than 17,000 people.
Survey respondents ranked Canada highly for its agility—“to be efficient in its actions, adopt and accept modern solutions, and progress to meet changing circumstances.”
Also in the top 10 are Sweden, Australia, the United States, Japan, Germany, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
