DENVER — Whether it's a weekend getaway with the family or a romantic trip with a partner, guests who book at Glampinghub.com are guaranteed a unique, authentic accommodation built with integrity and love. Glamping is growing with the site catering to 98,000 glampers with 35,000 accommodations.
There are more than 800 accommodation choices in Ontario alone, and 762 in B.C. All together, there are 1,600 properties in Canada, concentrated in Ontario and on the coasts, with not as many in Central Canada.
Glampinghub.com accommodations range from treehouses to yurts, safari tents, tiny homes, containers, camper-vans, tipis and tents. There's even an upscale caboose.
Examples of Canadian properties include a Bell Tent in Beaverton, Ont; and a lot of off-the-grid treehouses.
In addition to Canada, destinations include the rest of North America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. For example, there are 69 accommodations in Sri Lanka.
Glampinghub.com was founded by David Troya and Reuben Martinez. The two co-founders met in college, and decided that glamping was Googled so many times that it merited its own one-stop shop. Originally, the site was an advertising vehicle, but it very quickly became a booking platform, said Taylor Braithwaite, Glampinghub.com spokesperson, in an interview.
Criteria include being nature-based properties, that are unique and offer a connection with nature such as hiking trails or a lake. “The more unique the properties are, the more people book,” Braithwaite said.
“The cool thing is the quality versus actual camping. These properties keep you comfortable; some have air conditioning and some have heat. People are looking for Instagrammable properties — something a little different.” Most clients are ages 25 to 45 — but that's not set in stone. Glampers are people looking to travel to visit something friendly, but unique.
The price range varies, with off-the-grid cottages going for $60 per night and luxury safari tents going for $300-plus.
Glampinghub.com hosts can send the company an email and apply to be a host. The company will vet the property and classify it by location and by type.
Future plans at Glampinghub.com include continued growth, and a complete rebranding of the website in the near future.
