Opal Hospitality has expanded into the U.S. market with acquisition of Four Points by Sheraton Charlotte-Lake Norman, Huntersville, N.C.
Hager Design International has promoted Janine Anderson to managing director.
Anderson’s previous role was design director, and she has also held roles as intermediate designer and leader of the senior living division. She has been with the company for nearly 12 years.
Before that, she worked at Otto Design, Bartlett and Associates and KPMB Architects. She has worked on a variety of projects from the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, Hotel Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Inn Hotel and Conference Centre to Lift, Vancouver International Airport.
As a project leader, she has been involved in all aspects of these projects from the beginning of the concept phase to design development and working drawings, through to the construction of these jobs. In her expanded role, Anderson will not only continue to oversee clients and the design team; but also play a key role in the operational aspects of the company.

Norwood Hotel by Sparrow Hotels, Winnipeg, Man. has completed renovations to its lobby and banquet areas.
