ATLANTA — IHG Hotels & Resorts will be expanding in Ontario in 2020 with a new Holiday Inn Express in Collingwood and a dual-branded Holiday Inn Express and Candlewood Suites in Kingston.
This dual branded complex is conveniently located off Highway 401 and Gardiners Road in the heart of the Thousand Islands. Kingston is teeming with activities, local businesses and attractions – all within a short drive from the hotel. It’s just minutes away from Historic Downtown Kingston, Kingston Penitentiary Tours, Fort Henry, Queen’s University and CFB Kingston, as well as popular walking trails and shopping outlets.
The Holiday Inn Express property has 50 luxurious appointed rooms with 50-inch LED TV’s. Amenities include the complimentary Hot Express Start breakfast, free WiFi, complimentary parking, an indoor heated saltwater pool and a 24-hour fitness centre.
Designed with the comforts of home in mind, The Candlewood Suites property aims to be a home away from home – whether it’s for short or extended travel stays. The hotel has 55 newly designed guest suites and five accessible suites, spacious, fully equipped kitchens and dining table, flexible workspaces, standard WiFi service that’s free for all IHG Rewards members, and free local calls.
IHG also expects to open the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Collingwood, Ont. in the third quarter of 2020. Collingwood is a premier ranked tourist destination located 150 kilometres North of Toronto, on the Southern shore of Georgian Bay and at the front foot of Ontario’s highest ski hill, Blue Mountain. The hotel is located at the entry point of Collingwood off Hwy 26 on Hume Street.
This location is close to restaurants, Sunset Beach and Central Park Arena. It features 93 luxurious appointed rooms including 15 suites. Amenities include the complimentary Hot Express Start breakfast, free Wi-Fi, complimentary parking, indoor pool, fitness centre and 1,395 sq. ft. of meeting space.
