Ingrid Jarrett to step down as BCHA president & CEO

Ingrid Jarrett will step down as British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA) president and CEO at the end of 2024. She has led the organization for five years.

In her announcement, Jarrett says she is ready “to embark on to the next chapter of her professional journey.”

During Jarrett’s tenure, she has directed achievements in B.C.'s hospitality industry, including:

  • Spearheading research and legislative changes for the province's short-term rental policy
  • Launching the BCHA Sustainability Playbook
  • Advocating for crucial financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Developing the Emergency Management Booking Portal
  • Promoting diversity and inclusion through the 50/30 diversity challenge

“I want to take this opportunity to thank every team member at the BCHA for your unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on BC's hospitality industry. To all partners of the BCHA, thank you for your continued support in reaching remarkable milestones together and fulfilling our mandate. And to our members, it has been a privilege to work alongside you and advocate for your interests. I look forward to supporting the BCHA during this transition and cheering the team on to continued future success,” writes Jarrett.

The BCHA has not yet announced if it has appointed Jarrett’s successor.
