MasterBUILT Hotels has announced that the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Matagami, Que. is in development. The project is being brought to life by MasterBUILT along with various First Nation development partners.
This new 76-room hotel will be a modular construction build, a fast and efficient alternative for this remote location. With 70 per cent of the work completed off-site in a climate-controlled environment, the company can speed up the construction process while minimizing on-site labour challenges.
Matagami is located on Matagami Lake, within the local municipality of Eeyou Istchee James Bay. Hotel amenities will include a meeting room, fitness room, public laundry room, and a pool, waterslide and hot tub.
