Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside earns 12th consecutive World Ski Award for 'Canada’s Best Ski Hotel'
For the 12th consecutive year, Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside has been named “Canada’s Best Ski Hotel” at the 2024 World Ski Awards.
This distinction exemplifies the resort’s commitment to maintaining exceptional standards in ski tourism hospitality, both in service delivery and operational excellence.
The World Ski Awards, launched in 2013, is the only global program recognizing leaders in ski tourism. Voted on by industry professionals and ski enthusiasts, it highlights top performers in categories such as Best Ski Hotel, Best Boutique Ski Hotel, and Best Ski Resort.
“This award is a reflection of the hard work and focus of our team,” says Julie Lanteigne, general manager of Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside and Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre. “Earning this recognition for 12 years straight is both humbling and rewarding, and it reinforces the importance of staying true to our core values in providing a guest-centred approach to service. We deeply appreciate the professionals and guests who continue to place their trust in us.”
The hotel combines well-thought-out accommodations with operational efficiency. Its studio, one‑, and two-bedroom suites are equipped with kitchens and fireplaces, appealing to ski travellers seeking both comfort and functionality. The onsite wellness facilities, including a steam room, saltwater pool, and hot tubs, enhance the guest experience while aligning with a service model that prioritizes quality without unnecessary complexity.
Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside’s approach to hospitality includes a strong focus on personalized service. Staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to assist guests in planning their alpine experiences, selecting dining options, and crafting itineraries tailored to their interests. This practice strengthens guest relationships and supports consistent business performance.
As Whistler Blackcomb opens for the 2024⁄25 season on November 22, the hotel is positioned to welcome guests with a focus on service that resonates with both leisure travellers and the industry at large. Its sustained recognition in the World Ski Awards demonstrates the value of aligning operational goals with a clear understanding of what ski tourism guests seek in their winter stays.
