Kerry Hirschy retires from dormakaba; Dale Mathias takes over; new clients for Kris Crundwell; Zaplox adds Eric Michélsen and Pernilla Brodd.
dormakaba, one of the top three companies in the global market for access and
security solutions, announced its vice president of sales Kerry Hirschy will
retire on December 31, 2017. Hirschy is completing a stellar 31 year career
in the electronic door lock industry. His leadership as a hotel lock sales executive
resulted in dormakaba’s strong market share position in N. America. Hirschy’s
successor will be Dale Mathias. dormakaba manufactures the Saflok™ and Ilco™ electronic door locks and provides installation and
service for its systems.
Hirschy began his career in the hotel industry as vice
president sales with Safemark Systems in 1986. He left Safemark in 1988 and
quickly assumed the VP sales role with Computerized Security Systems. In 2006
the former Kaba acquired Computerized Security Systems. Hirschy successfully
orchestrated the merger of the competing Saflok and Ilco sales teams. During Hirschy’s watch Kaba realized exponential
growth and market leadership.
Kris Crundwell
Hospitality (www.kchospitality.ca) has expanded its client base on the west coast
through Intuitive Hospitality. Crundwell and Steve Bowers of Intuitive Hospitality have teamed up to market the new
resort property The Cottages on Salt Spring Island. KC Hospitality is a cost
effective alternative to direct sales, channel management and marketing
solutions. The company offers a solid focus on business development in all market segments through
a current client base and new partnerships.
Zaplox, A leading provider of advanced mobile key services to the global hotel market, is pleased to announce the appointments of Eric Michélsen as chief technology officer, and Pernilla Brodd as chief marketing officer. With both joining the company officially as of December, the recent additions reflect Zaplox' ongoing commitment to building its brand and enhancing company service offerings. Michélsen brings with him many years of industry experience, having served in several executive level roles, including as CTO at ASSA ABLOY Hospitality.
As the company's new CMO, Brodd brings extensive experience in brand building and strategy, with several years of success in expansive global sales initiatives and significant growth at software companies such as InRiver and Consafe Logistics.
