Sageblan Investments Inc., one of North America’s leading hospitality and real estate development companies, has announced that it has changed its name to Artifact Group Inc.
The new name aims to signify the company’s commitment to timeless design, craftsmanship, and enduring value, and comes as the result of a long process of discovery that helped better define the growing company’s values.
“We consider our properties to be valuable treasures, and ‘Artifact’ better describes our commitment to detail and quality,” says Gaurav Gupta, president, Artifact Group. “While our name is changing, our dedication to providing exceptional service for our guests, while prioritizing the well-being and growth of our employees as we continue to identify, acquire, and renew properties remains steadfast. We look forward to continuing to create thoughtful and inspired spaces that stand the test of time under our new name.”
Over the past few years, the company has acquired several award-winning properties in Canada and the United States, including the Vogue Hotel Montréal, Curio Collection by Hilton, the first Curio Collection property in Canada and recognized by Hilton as the 2022 Curio Collection Conversion of the Year for the Americas; the soon to open Hotel Moco, Valleyfield (formerly Hotel Plaza Valleyfield) which will pay homage to its fascinating heritage on the site of the historic 1901-built Montréal Cotton House; Hyatt Place Montréal Downtown, also recognized as the best Hyatt Place/Hyatt House conversion in the Americas; and the landmark Delta Hotels Quebec by Marriott, which is connected to the Congress Centre and an important business hub for the Quebec City region.
Artifact is also currently focused on unlocking the full potential of covered land acquisitions in Miami by obtaining entitlements for their best use and creating value through strategic planning and execution to maximize returns. The principals at Artifact believe that artistry in design and functionality helps drive business, which in turn provides an opportunity for inspired experiences at their properties. The company is dedicated to revitalizing and managing its hospitality and commercial assets to maintain their sense of place and ensure they provide meaningful, long-term benefit to the communities in which they operate.
You can expect to see the new name and logo on all former Sageblan communication channels including its website, and all social platforms.
