CALGARY — Those who have attended hotel industry events at Stampede over the years know that the Calgary Stampede and Marc Staniloff, president & CEO of Superior Lodging Corp., go hand in hand. As a dedicated sponsor of the Stampede for over 20 years thanks to a Super 8 by Wyndham sponsorship of the Rodeo, it’s deeply ingrained in the culture of Superior Lodging Corp.
Recently, MasterBuilt’s Microtel by Wyndham brand has also become a Stampede sponsor, with the branding the of the ‘Hitchin’ Post’ bar beside the Rodeo Grandstand, as the ‘Microtel Hotel’.
This year’s Stampede was the second highest attended stampede, second only to the 2012 Centennial Stampede, with 1,275,465 attendees. People come from around the world to enjoy the many aspects of the Stampede, including the daily rodeo, as well as the music, midway and the food.
The rodeo is unique and features the world’s best competitors and animals, culminating with the world’s largest outdoor rodeo on the final day of Stampede.
Staniloff and his wife Deb Staniloff, celebrate the Calgary Stampede with an annual backyard ‘hoe-down party’ at their home during the final weekend of the Stampede. Attendees this year included investors, executives and senior associates from Superior Lodging Corp., MasterBuilt Hotels, Travelodge Canada, Marriott Canada and many more.
Earlier in the week, Superior Lodging Corp., MasterBuilt Hotels and Travelodge Canada hosted an annual staff party for their team members.
