After three consecutive months of year-over-year increases, Canada’s hotel industry recorded a decline in occupancy, according to CoStar’s July 2024 data.

The Alt Hotel Calgary University by Germain Hôtels Calgary has celebrated its grand opening reception.
The new Germain property is the second Alt Hotel in Calgary—located at 482 Mclaurin St, NW, Calgary, Alberta,in the heart of the expanding University District, and within walking distance from the University of Calgary and the Olympic Oval.
“This is an exciting property in an up-and-coming area of Calgary, and it was great to hear from Ward 7 Councillor Terry Wong on the vital role that hotels play within tourism in the city,” says the Calgary Hotel Association team.
