As the St. Regis Hotel prepared for its 111th anniversary in March, a number of long-planned guest room updates and upgrades were included in the hotel’s annual refurbishment.
Along with taking each floor out of service for deep cleaning and touch-ups, every guest room was treated to updates. In all, this winter’s renovations added up to an investment of $10,000 per room or $650,000 in total, all dedicated to improving the guest experience and making sure that this heritage property remains a favourite destination for visitors to the city.
At the same time, the St. Regis Hotel replaced its iconic neon sign with a brand-new sign made with recycled plastics and aluminum—and illuminated by energy efficient LEDs that keep the sign’s historic look, and feel with a far lower environmental impact.
“We’re thrilled with this winter’s hotel updates and upgrades,” says general manager Jeremy Roncoroni. “As we celebrate our 111th Anniversary on March 15th, we’ll look forward to welcoming visitors to the city in what promises to be a record-setting year ahead.” With Vancouver set to experience a record-setting year for cruise ship passengers and the continued post-pandemic tourism rebound, the St. Regis Hotel looks forward to another year shining brightly in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
