AFAR has released its list of the world's best new hotels of 2023, which includes two Canadian properties—Muir Hotel, located on the edge of the Halifax Waterfront, and Klahoose Wilderness Resort in the British Columbia coastal wilderness of Desolation Sound.

Only accessible by boat or seaplane, the off-the-grid resort is located within the heart of Desolation Sound, Klahoose Wilderness Resort resides upon Homfray Channel between the Coast Mountain peaks of British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast and the Salish Sea and the edge of the BC's Great Bear Rainforest.
