A ten-minute walk from downtown, VRGE Hotel serves as the perfect retreat after a day of epic wilderness exploration.
“Our Story It all began with a weekend ski trip to Revelstoke, where we stayed at what was then the Revelstoke Gateway Inn, now known as VRGE Revelstoke. Initially, our stay was disappointing, but it soon revealed an opportunity to transform the hotel into a haven for mountain adventurers. At VRGE, we believe the real attraction isn't the hotel itself but Revelstoke and its stunning surroundings, local mountain culture, and thriving businesses. Our goal was to fit into this amazing location, highlight what we love about it, and welcome the community into our hotel,” offers VRGE co-founder, Matt Crowley.
VRGE Revelstoke is more than just a hotel; it’s a gateway to adventure. VRGE has gathered some of the most passionate mountain lovers under one roof in hopes of encouraging guests (whether enthusiasts or diehards) to embrace their next adventure.
The hotel provides a variety of accommodations to suit guests' needs, including smaller and medium-sized king rooms, queen bed plus bunk rooms, king plus sofa bed kitchenette rooms, and The Hutte. The Hutte occupies the entire third floor of the hotel and features a kitchen, lounge, and three self-contained hotel rooms.
Supporting Local Business VRGE has partnered with some of its favourite businesses in “Revy.” Guests can enjoy a cup of coffee from Dose Coffee, right from the Luft Cafe & Bar (and are welcome to post up with laptops and get some work done). Mountain bike and ski/snowboard rentals are available from the hotel supported by Powder Rentals and Tantrum Ride Company. Additionally, guests can book an in-hotel massage or spa service with Repose Massage Therapy for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
New Restaurant - Lüft Café & Bar: Lüft reimagines a dingy hotel lobby and removes it entirely. Guests have contactless check-in using the VRGE app, eliminating the awkward front desk process (available for Apple and Android devices). If guests want an in-person check-in, that’s great too... but they may be tempted by the flatbread and cocktails.
“We envision Lüft (pronounced “Looooooft”) as a morning bracer before your adventure and as the place to catch up with friends before hitting the town or to wind down the evening with great bites in a casual, relaxing atmosphere. We hope our guests use it as an extension of their rooms and plug in a laptop to stretch out their vacations.
“We are very excited about the enclosed porta cochere patio with ski wall. You can enjoy eats and drinks inside or on the patio. Lüft Café & Bar features a thoughtfully crafted menu of delicious offerings with something for everyone,” reads the statement from VRGE.
The first official bookings for VRGE Revelstoke are starting August 15, 2024, although the hotel is currently operating a soft opening with reduced guests.
